Headed Down to the Deep South

I know, I know...I have not updated my blog in a while but traveling will make you realize that somethings are more important than sitting on a computer typing away. This job has quickly made me see that soaking up and living in the moment is what I'm going to remember when I get off the road so I have literally spent every waking minute doing just that! I promise though to myself and to you as the readers now that I will start keeping up with this blog again after my different chapter visits! So now I'll start back tracking :-)

After I spent two weeks at the University of Pennsylvania, I traveled down south for my first time as a TLC to the great state of Louisiana. I was quickly informed that I was in the "deep south" but to me it still felt like home. From September 23-28 I was placed at Centenary College in the cute little city of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Hours after arriving I was put to work chalking big/little clues around campus. This was my first experience chalking and boy is it intense!

I got to help craft for the chapter's big/little reveal! Like my chevron cork board I made below? Of course it is complete with a monogram and bow!

I pretended to be a new member who lost her Centenary student ID and got to play in an intramural flag football game!

I got to also experience some really cute local places to eat. Everything from a po-boy sandwich to a platter of finger sandwiches at the tea room!

Also lucky enough to visit the Louisiana Boardwalk for some shopping and fun at Bass Pro Shop

And was blessed to spend my last few hours with the chapter at a local retirement home painting the sweet ladies nails!

Thank you to my sisters at Centenary College for a beyond wonderful visit :-)

Louisiana will for sure be getting more visits from me in the near future!
